New Guy in the Jeep World would love some answers!

Hi everybody,
just got my first jeep dream come true i thought id never see the day! Its a 2dr 2008 Sahara i love the look and feel of a jeep but i feel out of place without all the cool lifts and look my fellow jeepers have. Id like to lift it and put meaner lookin tires on it with the stock rims. Even thought about powdercoating the rims to give it a different look. Im not sure how to go about any of this. Would love some feedback or help first car payment id love to keep it running smooth but id like to join the jeeps in the sand down here in texas! Any help would be awesome thanks!

Your stock rims will probably be fine. I have a tj with the stock 15 in rims so I don't know about yours but you shouldn't have a problem. One main thing people have a problem with is oversized tires might rub with the stock rims at full turn and full flex. Most people get new rims with more backspacing so the rims/tires will be further out, giving them more room. Hoped that helped. As far as lifts go, I have been told a 2.5 inch suspension lift with a 1inch body lift works great. Don't have the cash at the moment so I am stock. If anyone noticed I missed anything feel free to correct me.

I have stock rims bedlined and put a little bigger tire on mine. Just doing a body lift though. I'm only a mudder lol. No rocks or mountains
