New Jeep believer!!!

Hi guys, I'm new to the forum. Awhile back I purchased a 2010 Jeep Wrangler Sport. My only previous experience with Jeeps had been a sympathetic restoration of a korean war era "willy" with my uncle out at his ranch. I instantly loved it from the test drive. after breaking in the engine and the first couple oil changes I decided to go ahead and see what my new vehicle could really do. I had heard a lot of great things, but to be honest I was skeptical. That changed rather quickly. The first night out at the ranch I had more fun in that jeep than I ever did in my old jacked up 87 GMC. I was on a trail, and we came to a stretch of water in a low area about 40 yards long. The water was muddy as could be, so we had no idea what we were about to drive into. Turns out this puddle is a swimming pool. out of nowhere the jeep just drops and the water is about 3.5ft deep, almost flowing over the sides and into my windows. I thought I was screwed and I let out a strain of words that would make a sailor blush. But I kept my foot on the gas and amazingly made it all the way accross. If it hadnt been for a vertical mud wall on the opposite end that ate my rear axle, I probably would have made it out. After an hour or so of digging and kicking down small trees to try and give myself traction, I realized the only way out was the way I got in, so I popped it in reverse 4L and backed up accross the entire stretch of water AGAIN! Simply knowing that a completely stock vehicle could do this gave me the confidence that I wanted, and made me a beleiver in the Jeep. Attached are some pictures right before the laborious 3 hours I spent cleaning up the mess I made.

P.S. I nearly exploded with joy when I found the drain plugs in the floor.

License to kill gophers by the government of the United Nations. Man, free to kill gophers at will. To kill, you must know your enemy, and in this case my enemy is a varmint. And a varmint will never quit - ever. They're like the Viet Cong - Varmint Cong. So you have to fall back on superior intelligence and superior firepower. And that's all she wrote.

and nice trial by fire... or mud in this case...

Just check your fluids after going for a swim like that to make sure you didn't get any water in your oil.
What have we got?
We have one heavily armed Recreational Vehicle
