New JK owner from Jersey

Just purchased a 2012 JK Arctic Edition. Love it so far. Not a hard core off road type but definitely looking forward to trying out some trails. Love the info on this forum Thanks!!

Cool, I am down in Forked River, but work in Lakewood. Are you planning on getting a pass to drive on IBSP?

Honestly had no idea what that was until I googled it lol But yeah that seems like it will be a fun place to take my sons. I'm a complete jeep newbie and off roading so this year I will be popping mine and my jeeps cherry lol I'm guessing they have some nice trails there? Is it crazy or can a newb handle it? lol

You can get a fishing pass to drive on the beach. Its like $200 but it's so much easier to get your stuff on the beach if you have kids. Its not overly crowded since you can kinda block off space with your vehicle. Also you can have a fire. One down side is there are no life guards.

Here is some info.

Is this the beach across from the light house on lbi? My parents have a place down there and would love to drive out on the beach when I'm down there on weekends.

Thanks for the info!! Quick question tho, you can only drive on the beach to go fishing you can't drive on there just to go swimming and hang out? My kids don't like to fish believe tor not lol but, they love to surf and boogie board.
