New Kid

Just purchased a Jeep and awaiting to take delivery. Got excited and joined the forum to help scratch the itch while waiting for arrival.
2000 Sahara-- black, some lift, not sure what else. Drinking and ebay usually don't mix well. Maybe it'll be different this time...

Arrival date is up in the air. Carrier has 5 days to pick it up and 5 days to get it here. We're on day 2-3 in the process.
I'd allow somebody in the Peekskill, NY area that's heading to the North Florida area to do a long test drive for me--no charge even! haha

The last car carrier experience I had was a bit of a let down. Both the pick up and transit time frames slid back by a few days.
It's like waiting on Christmas.

Arrival! Picked it up today.
The Good--good stance. 31 inch tires, 12.5 wide (as best I can tell) new Nitto on 20 inch XD rims. Has a Pioneer AVIC pop up Nav unit and speakers everywhere, amps under the rear seat, sub in the back
Over all decent paint
It's got a lift, not sure how much, but looks good.

The Bad--brakes are pretty soft, hood paint is peeling, lift is a Skyjacker (I'm grateful to have a lift and Skyjacker has been good to some, but not good to others).

The Ugly-- we have some rust. Some on the side of the frame that's a little flaky, but it's not rampant. I'll be following the POR 15 instructions. Some of the driveline and skidplates are heavier, but that stuff will get replaced over time.

Overall--I'm pretty sure I bought a high school kid's Jeep, but still fairly pleased. It's never going to be a heavy duty rock crawler, closer to a mall crawler which it likely was in it's previous life.
I overpaid by a grand or two. Not unusual when shopping on ebay after a few adult pops. It feels good to own a Jeep though!
