At the top of every page are drop down menus. You can select the one for search and put your search word(s) there or go to advabced search. The advantage to advance search is that you can narrow your search so you don't get a million results.

The forum search results default to newest post listed first.

quick question.

How do you know if someone responded to your post? is there somewhere where all your post are listed?

Yes, same place for the search.

Click on the drop down menu and one of the selections is "View all your posts"

Additionally, you can select the "Quick Links" drop down menu (also at the top of the page) and select "Subscribed Threads". By default, every time you post in the forum you become "subscribed" to that thread. In the listing, the thread title will be in bold letters when ever there is a new post in that thread that you haven't read.
