Exclamation New member / Door Lock Issue Solved!

I wanted to update the group on my 2015 Wrangler Unlimited Sahara passenger front side door lock. Several weeks ago the door was not able to be opened from the outside push button. I searched on line. I found good information on taking the inner door panel off and getting to the actuator switch (door latch). It took some doing but I followed a online video. Just keep track of your steps and screws removed and location. Be careful with the window which needs to be slide up and taped in place. There are two slide clips to hold the white plastic stable against the inner door panel. I did break one of those when taking it off. But sense there were two it was good and stable when putting back together.

Bottom line: as mentioned in one of the forum posts I didn't have to replace the actuator switch at all which I believe is $100+, all I had to do was replace a screw I found in the bottom of the door back into the actuator mechanism = saving money of part and labor! Thanks for the forum and sharing. I was able to locate where the screw went, coated with lock tight and and screwed in. Door works great. There must have been some issue in assembly for this problem to be repeating itself. I understand there can vibration, etc but I don't do anything too crazy in my Jeep. I wonder how many individuals replaced the entire actuator or paid big $ to have it replaced or repaired?? I wanted to share to help others! Cheers!
