New member! First Jeep. (one battery question)

I've never been a typical Jeep guy, but these new Jeep's are just too awesome. Plus I moved to a new area where their capabilities might be a bit more needed than the concrete jungle I as in.

I do have a question, if anybody sees this.

There will be a couple times each year where I will need to leave the Jeep un-driven for about a 4-6 week period. I would say that's too long and I will return to a dead battery. Do you all agree?

I know Corvette guys often use a trickle charger when they don't drive their vehicles in the winter. I'm apt just to unhook the battery and call it good.

What would you do?

For 4-6 weeks, I personally, wouldn't bother. A trickle charger is great for something stored for months on end but you mat not get any benefit for that short a time. I suggest you check out the JL forum area and post your questions there, I think you'll get more info there as well.
