Hello everyone!

I have owned Jeeps (CJs, YJs, TJ,s) for the last 33 years as my daily drivers and on June 1st I ordered a new 2016 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Hard Rock. It is currently in D1 status. I was ready for a Jeep with a bit more plushness and that would be more comfortable on longer highway trips.

I will be putting a Rock Krawler 3 1/2 inch X-Factor lift on it and 35x12.50x17 inch BFG Mud Terrain KM2s on it within a few weeks of receiving it and transferring my winch and air compressor to it from my current TJ Rubicon.

I spend quite a bit of time 4 wheeling in Colorado and Utah. I have been a lurker here for some time but finally created an account a month or two ago.

Jeff

Welcome from Castle Rock, CO
I bought a 2016 Rubicon Unlimited Hard Rock last November and one thing I can share that you may already know....There seems to be some kind of electronic governor that holds you back from acceleration until you get between 1,000 & 1,500 miles and then it just kicks off. I was disappointed in the horsepower at first....then she kicked in and I'm happy now!

Thanks for the info. I test drove a brand new 2016 Rubicon 6spd manual like I ordered and the power was a little softer than I expected. That explains it!

Mine is a 6 speed manual as well. It's not a race car but it will go anywhere you want!
