New member in Havertown PA

2 door 2015 Wrangler Sport in Anvil. First time Wrangler owner and I’m hooked. Had to sell my previous car because I racked up too many speeding tix. No need to speed in the Jeep. I’ve owned it for three years now. Just joined the forum finally because I’m trying to figure out how to modify my rear bench seat to gain some cargo room. Anybody with knowledge of how the fold and tumble cable system operates in the 2dr rear bench, please shoot me a pm. Thanks!

Welcome to the Forum meskridge!

If you are having trouble getting the seat locking mechanism open due to tension, try having someone sit on the seat while you release the locks.

Or you can do as many others have done (myself included)

Thanks for all the friendly welcome messages. Much different environment around here compared to the VW/Audi forums I’ve used in the past.

No issues with the operation of my seat. More looking for info on how the latch on the top of the seat is connected / operates the hinges/base. I want to cut my rear bench in half basically and want to know what not to cut...
