Hello Everyone,
I recently moved to Squamish BC and decided I wanted to get into some off-roading. I've been lurking the forums for some time doing research and reading different posts. There is a lot of information out there, sometimes too much for someone like me that has very little experience in this sport. I wanted to thank the community for all the posts and information out there that helped me out.
I finally pulled the trigger and bought myself a 2015 JKU Rubi about two months ago. Since then I've been out when I can playing with it and am loving it. So far I've only been doing light trails and FSR's. I need more experience and confidence before I try to tackle anything challenging, especially since I've often been on my own. I know that is frowned upon, but I've been cautious, mostly just out to explore the area and get a feel for the Jeep.
I'm hoping there might be some local/nearby members who would be willing to take a novice out for a ride. An introduction so to speek, to the trails and off-roading in general. I've been looking at different maps and there is so much to explore.
The Rubi is stock at the moment but I intend to install a new bumper and winch very soon. A lift kit and some 35's down the line at some point as well. I've been reading different posts trying to decide what build to go for, and how it might affect other components. I'm sure I will have a number of questions for the forum as I narrow down the selections.
I just wanted to introduce myself. I look forward to chatting and maybe even meeting some of the members.
Cheers.
