New Member- looking for the 1st Wrangler

Hi all
We are a couple oldies from Virginia. Having lived here for 30 years. Now we are in the process of retiring, downsizing and moving to the Baja. We’ve wanted a wrangler for years but the opportunity never was there.
Jeeps are really popular down there, which reignited our dream. Even on the road there can be an off road adventure.
Some questions about buying a Jeep
Is buying one new the way to go? I don’t see much depreciation in 3 year leases that are hitting the market.
Do I have any negotiating room with the dealer?
Any thoughts/advice is appreciated

I prefer new. Tread Lightly membership gets you 1% under INVOICE. Other's have negotiated much more 5, 6, 7, 8 % under.

Good luck!

I've bought both new and used. Can't say I noticed much of a difference in negotiations. Jeeps tend to hold their value so you might not notice much of a price break by going used.

There is some room for negotiation, but be prepared to talk to several dealerships and to walk out a few times. (Take a photo on your phone of whatever price they're offering you on the Wrangler and on your trade -- we used that photo to our advantage a couple of weeks ago, to convince the dealer with a lower-priced Jeep to match the trade-in offer we got elsewhere.)

Because this is the newbie check-in area, you may not get the answers you are looking for. I suggest you check out this forum area and post your questions there, I think you'll get a better response.

Thanks so much. I reposted in the other topic and got some good feedback. I'm not in a hurry so there is time to visit the dealerships here.
Before all that I'm reading the posts here.
