New non-rookie.... maybe

I bought my first jeep a couple of years ago, 2003 TJ. It's mostly stock minus the rear bumper upgrade and running 31" BFGs. I've been on been on the forum quite a bit researching, but just now getting around to actually joining. I'll be looking to do some mods very soon(lift, tires... anything functional really but nothing crazy like an all out rock crawling beast. I'll continue to drool over those in my dreams for now). I know this isn't the thread to discuss but if any of you know the right threads off the top of your head please point me in the right direction to save a fella a little time.

I'm an OK native and member of Red Dirt Jeeps. I frequently wheel at Disney, and I've spent some time in SMORR a few other places off the beaten path. Happy to be here! Let the sarcasm begin! LOL!! BTW... no jeep name yet but I am leaning towards 007 as I have a tendency to end up in hairy situations and am lucky to make it out "alive."

Welcome! Where are you from? For your 31-32" tires a great lift is the 2" BDS kit. That is what I currently run and I love it. If you're looking to do 33s I would check out the Zone 4.25" combo lift as that is a budget friendly and highly recommended kit around here!

Sorry it took so long to get back on.... I'm actually in the Tulsa, OK area up in Bartlesville to be specific.

I ended up going with the 2" Pro Comp suspension lift. They were running a special and I could beat the price for a quick budget lift that had springs and shocks. Just ordered some new rims to help with backspacing, black satin powder coated D style steelies. I'm now trying to decided on tires, 32s or 33s. I'm thinking I might be able to get away with 33s if I do a small body lift, but I'm not sure that I want to get into regearing yet to recover the mpgs and keep it from dogging out on the highway. It is my DD so whatever I do I will want to do what I can to keep it functional and comfortable on the road while maximizing off road performance without breaking the bank. I'll look around and see what others have recommended. Thanks for the "welcomes". See you guys in the threads.
