New potential Wrangler buyer in New Orleans area.

Hi,

I currently drive an 05 honda s2000 and 05 scion xB. My wife and I are looking to get a Wrangler soon (6 months - 12 months). I'm deciding between the Sahara and Rubicon, but most likely shell out the cash for the Rubicon with color matching hard top and side fenders.

Is that the model wrangler for me even though I doubt I will take it off-road or rock climbing?

I think if I do get a wrangler I want the best they have to offer.

I'm definitely looking forward to my time here and hope to learn more.

Thanks

Just moved away from Hammond,LA a few months ago. Enjoy the forum...I like the color of the Sahara. Either way is a win/win.

IMHO, get the Sahara. I totally understand wanting the max capability of the Rubi but if you're never going to use it, it's just wasted cash. After getting the Sahara, take it off road and if you don't feel like it does what you need, you can modify it - there's plenty of great aftermarket - and you'll probably end up with the same ability and sharper looks.

BayouBocephus, sorry you left, but AZ is great!

Welcome to WF. I'd go with the Sahara which is more than capable off-roader, other than the extreme stuff. Sahara is geared more towards comfort. Can't go wrong either way.
