New TJ Owner from AZ

I just recently bought a '97 TJ Sport and had discovered this forum a while ago while doing research into the TJs before buying one. Now that I have one I thought it was time to actually register! I'm not new to Jeeps, I grew up around them. My Dad had a '86 Grand Wagoneer and a '79 Cherokee Chief when I was a kid and then I've had a '01 and '98 XJ over the past 11 years and my wife has a '99 WJ. The '01 XJ I had built into a rock crawler over the past deacde and just recently sold that so I could purchase a TJ. I've always wanted one and luckily now I was able to buy one. It's a '97 "Bright Jade" with the 4.0, 5-speed, D44 rear with trac lock, 144k miles, ZERO rust, clean interior and A/C. It was tough finding an unmolested stock one in good condition. The paint and interior is in pretty good shape for being 18 years old. Anyways, just wanted to say hello and I can't wait to start building this one!

Thanks! The plan for it is to be mostly a DD, but still be able to run some moderate trails out here. I was going to start with a BDS 2" spring lift and run 31-33's (haven't decided yet.) I know if I go 33's I'll also add in a 1.25" BL and a 1" MML. Then eventually 4.56 gears and lockers. I'll make my own bumpers, sliders and probably skid plates too. I know that if I went 31's now, it won't be too bad with the 3.55 gears and I also wouldn't have to get new wheels since the stockers are 15x7. In the long run I'll end up with 33's, but I don't have the money right now to regear and add lockers. That and it probably won't be the greatest with 33's and 3.55 gears. On my old XJ I had run 33's and 3.55s for a bit, granted it was a 4-speed auto and that was meh. So with the TJ being a 5-speed, I'm not sure if it'll be more tolerable with 33's and 3.55s.
