Red face New to Jeep ownership, 2007 Wrangler JK

So discouraged, just bought our first used jeep wrangler, 2007 jk... Got jeep fever and didn't take it to a shop to have it checked out... Believed the guy who sold it to us... Now it hardly goes into first or second. Tranny fluid was replaced with syncromesh... Starts out much better and then in the same boat... Hardly shifts into 1st, a bit on 2nd, not good.

Will need to take it to transmission repair shop... What do you think the cost will be? Don't you think they'll need to do a tranny and stick rebuild? What kind of shop is good to take jeeps? Any tips, suggestions, or thoughts (besides us not being very wise about this purchase...)

So discouraged.

Thanks for advice, help, would like to hear how much it cost you... NSG370

Thank you

Well, I don't have anything to add to what's already been said so well.

I just wanted to stop by and say . . .
