Smile New to the site

Hello, My name is Mark and i am new to this site. After being Jeepless for 13 years I finally own one again! I just bought an '89 Wrangler and have begun to work on it. the engine was in dying need of a tune up and most of the emissions stuff had been pulled out at some point in the past. so i am trying to figure out what to do with all the vaccum line mess, what to do about the carb (weber) and one big obstacle i am looking for information on is trying to find an alternator bracket for it, it is the front/lower bracket. i have searched high and low and cannot find one. the dealerships tell me that it is a discontinued item. if anyone has any idease about this please lend a hand, i will be most grateful!

Welcome.
As mentioned before, a salvage yard would be your best bet. Good luck though!

HELP WANTED! I am struggling with the vacuum system on my 89 Wrangler, i need some help. the guy i bought it from took out all the emmission stuff and hooked up vacuum lines and i don't think it's right. here's the issues.
1. the engine idles rough until i step on the brake, it seems the master cylinder is assisting with extra vacuum?
2. the PCV valves are hooked to the vacuum ports on the carb, if i plug the vacuum line on the front PCV valve the engine stumbles worse.
3. the red vacuum line to the transfer case is hooked to a vacuum port on the carb, if i take that line apart the engine RPM increases and runs like a champ!!! if i plug it off it runs like crap.
4. the front differential engages with or without the red vacuum line hooked up?
please help......
