New with a decision

Hello all, my name is Austin and im from IA. I currently have an 04 Silverado 2500HD with the duramax. It was my dads truck and has been a great truck. However the years are catching up with it. The rockers and cab corners are rusting through and it needs repainted. I love the truck and planned on keeping it for a long time but have the opportunity to get a 2012 Wrangler 4 door with the AEV package. it has 35" trail graps on it and 30k miles. Its my dads friend and has been driven very easy and really taken care of. It was never used to go offroad like most are but very well could.

I need help making a decision on what to choose. Im going to test drive the jeep tomorrow but was hoping for a little insight on jeeps of that year and known problems with them. I found a thread that said it has very little problems but it was from 2012 and the jeeps had very few miles.

A little more on my truck. Its on a 6 in lift with 35's and EFI live with a lift pump and other goodies. I have put everything on the truck except for the lift and really made it "mine". I think the jeep has the 3.5 AEV but im not sure. Im kinda worried about the motor handling those big tires.

Thanks everyone!

Unfair to ask a jeep owner to deside what you should get
You would enjoy the jeep. LOL

Don't worry I asked the duramax forum too. I've been a member on it for 2 years.

I think I'm gonna pick the jeep. It should last me longer and be cheaper to maintain. Plus it won't gel up on me in the winter at school.
Here's a pic of it.
