I've just bought my first Jeep and chose a '94 YJ Sahara 4.0L, 5 speed in need of some work. Mechanically, it seems to be pretty sound but the body is pretty rough....Ohio winters are brutal and I found one local so I took the plunge with the hope's of saving it.
2" shackle lift
4" RC suspension lift (looking for a quality lift to replace it in the future)
New 35" GY MT/R's w/ new AE aluminum rims, includes a 35" spare.
Ford 8.8" rear diff w/ 4.11 gears
D-30 with 4.10 gears
New Bestop soft top
Posi-Lok cable front axle engagement - needs some adjusting.
Rugged Ridge Heavy Duty tie rod and steering linkage kit
HD Steering stabilizer
New Dodge Durango steering box
SS brake lines front and rear
Correct speedometer gear for tire and axle ratio combo
Rebuilt tranny w/ a new clutch ~ 1,000 miles ago per the PO
New axle shaft and U-Joints in the D-30
New O2 sensor
All new brake rotors and pads ~ 2,000 miles ago per the PO
New MAP sensor
New battery terminals
PO replaced driver side fender because it was dented, never painted
New power steering hose, spare return line included
The body has several bad rust areas, faded paint, and the frame needs to be cleaned up but is solid. The primary reason I chose to buy is it is because mechanically it is sound and has a few decent mod's to build on.
Oh, and I know next to nothing about Jeep's but love the thing already...it's so much fun to drive.
It fits in my garage!
