Hi all, posting to introduce here. I live in the sticks in Florida and on a dirt road. No rocks to speak of and the only mountains down here are garbage dumps. Had an 08 Sahara and an 09 FX4. Traded both to get a small car bout 2 years ago. Tryed to save on gas but been kicking myself ever since.

Im pretty sure all the runoff water from the rains drain to the area I live in so it seems I could not even get my car out the garage. The money I saved on gas did not make up for the hassle so I started looking for a replacement. Wanted something 4x4, capable of going through light mud, dirt and water but smaller than my old truck which brought me back to the Wrangler.

I ran across this forum while doing research and i am loving it. I have learned alot just by reading through the threads.

IMO the 08 Sahara engine was a dog. It had no pick up, went from 0-60 in 3 days and you had to have a strong right foot just to keep up the speed. Granted it was not a sports car but it was really underpowered.

It was also an automatic which I swore I would never get again. I saw that the Wranglers had a new engine with more hp and torque so I took a Sport 6speed for a test drive and MAN was it fun. The new engine really made a differance in my mind and I loved rolling through gears again.

Got some kids so the 2dr was out. I looked at a Rubicon but for what I will see it really was overkill and the cost was too much. Didnt really like the painted fenders of the Sahara, did not need the Nav stuff and it seemed every one of them was an automatic so back to the Sport.

I found a white Sport S Unlimited 6 speed with the 23S package, 3.73 axle, hard top,LSD, Alpine stereo with connectivity, power everything and 17" tires. Only thing I would of liked was the Max tow package but honestly dont really need it.

Glad to be back to the Wrangler family........
