Talking Newb from IA

Hi there! I'm a WF Newb, though not a Wrangler Newb. My first new car purchase as a youngun was a 91 YJ. Also owned an 04 TJ. I've stepped into a different world with my new-to-me '15 JKU. I swore never to go to a 4-door, but life happens and while my daughter is grown, I have "furkids" now and future grandbabies to consider...... so, 4 door it is.

My JKU is completely stock, so I look forward to some near-future fun making it my own. I have already been lurking here, just haven't joined or posted til now. Mine will be more mall crawler. I'll be on the pavment 85% of the time and just some light off roading the rest. Looking forward to learning a lot from this forum!

Hello, And welcome to the Wrangler Forum! I'm an Iowa Jeeper too! I'm involved with and have been involved with a few different Iowa Jeep Clubs and from my experience they're all full of Great People! I'm a current member of the Jeep Outdoor Club of Central Iowa ( J.O.C.C.I) which is based in Des Moines. I've also been involved with the Iowa Jeep Club and their annual Iowa All Breeds Jeep Show and 4X4 Event. There's a ton of information, help, activities and Great People in these clubs!

I will have to check those out! I am currently part of a FB group of Northern Iowa which is based a bit northwest of where I am in Maquoketa. I actually purchased my Jeep in DSM this past weekend. Don't get over that way much, maybe a few times a year for some camping trips! Hubs and I are getting more into backpacking and we are going to build an overlanding trailer for a RTT to replace my current homebuilt teardrop camper. I am excited to have a rig that can fit into a more active lifestyle.
