Newb, soon buying my first Jeep

Hey folks. My name is Bill, I live in Fair Hill, Maryland and I'm 32. I'm looking to buy my first Jeep in the near future (2010 Sport 2 door), but I've got some experience with Jeeps. I've driven several on a somewhat regular basis and many friends have owned them, so I'm pretty familiar with what I'm getting. It will be my daily driver, so I'm leaning towards an automatic (I know, I know, but I did not like the feel of the clutch on the 6 speed, nor the pedal arrangement). I'll probably leave it mostly stock, maybe a few bolt on parts.
I've also got an old 55 Chevy hotrod that I play with, so I am a car guy in general.
So I'll try not to make too much of an ass out of myself!!

Welcome Bill! If you're buying new, you might want to consider joining www.treadlighly.org one of the perks of membership is employee pricing on new Jeeps, etc. 1% below invoice. A few guys here have used it and it makes purchasing much simpler, unless of course you already have a nice way to get a good price.

Hi Bill,

I am planning on picking up my 2010 Sport 2dr next week! I can't wait!!
I also went with the automatic. I think it's just a personal preference. I've got lots of years driving a stick...just didn't want to this time. Guess i'm getting lazy in my "old age"

Welcome to WF Bill. There is nothing wrong with an auto it just means that you always have a free hand to wave with.
