Newb - What should I buy...

Another one of those threads... Sorry, but I am definitely a Jeep newb. Have only drove a handful and have never owned one. I have always liked Wranglers and had an interest. I think now is the time for me to buy one. Anyways here's the question. Which would you be more inclined to buy. A 1993 base model with the 4 cylinder and 120k miles or a 1993 Sahara with the 4.0 and 160k miles. Both have just about the same upgrades. Hardtop and bikini, small lift with 33s, etc. The Sahara 6-cylinder has a "bad" transfer case, but the seller has a transfer case and a SYE kit that I would need to install. Mechanically that shouldn't be a problem. I guess I'm just curious if there is any definite advantages of the 6 over the 4... Both seem to be in about the same shape. Pretty clean rigs with a few paint probs etc. Trying to get into the Jeep game cheaply. Any thoughts would be great! Thanks!!

Because this is the newbie check-in area, you may not get the answers you are looking for. Based on the model year you are looking at, I suggest you check out this forum area and post your questions there, I think you'll get a better response.

I figured as much. Just didn't want to add another "what should I buy" thread to the main forum. Thanks
