Newbie from Oregon

Hey all,

On Friday I purchased my first Jeep Wrangler! It's a 2007 Sahara. 3-door. Great condition. I live in Beaverton OR.

I rode motorbikes for a long time and belonged to some pretty harsh forums - this one seems much friendlier. Looking forward to learning from the experienced guys and hopefully one day passing that info on.

First question from me: tires. The ones already on don't have much life left so I'll be looking to replace soon. Don't think I'll be doing any 'proper' off-roading, at least not for a while. I live near lots of mountains and my wife and I go hiking a lot with our German Shepherd, so something that can handle snow well in the winter, but give good grip in the winding lanes in the summer and good fuel economy for freeway journeys. Probably looking for too much, but maybe there's a decent all-rounder??

Anyway, thanks for any advice and looking forward to getting to know you all.

James

Personally, I'm a fan of Goodyear Duratracs.

Because this is the newbie check-in area, you may not get the answers you are looking for. I suggest you check out this forum area and post your questions there, I think you'll get a better response.
