Newbie in NJ, bought first Jeep

Hello everyone. I just picked up a 2003 Wrangler X 4.0L 5spd with 48k miles and I couldn't be happier. These forums have been indispensable in my search, even if I've been mainly lurking. I'll most likely have a few questions to ask in the TJ forum unless the answers are already there (provided I can find them).

I'm new to the worlds of both Jeep and four-wheeling/off-roading but I hope to get familiar with both topics. This Wrangler is also my first vehicle with a manual transmission. It took a few tries to leave the dealer but I think I've got the basics down.

For those curious I traded in a 2009 Volkswagen Eos for this Jeep. After two years of having a car that was automatic and computerized in every conceivable way I simply got bored. I felt like the car was doing all the driving. The TJ is certainly the polar opposite of the VW, and I love it.

Thanks again, WF and its users, for being such an essential and available resource.

(PS, I just read the entire chadwick thread. Classic!)
