Noob in Idaho with a '14 JKUR

This is my fist time posting on the forum, but I have owned my 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon since late August 2013.

Believe it or not I traded in my 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD with a Duramax and Alison transmission for this Jeep. Honestly I miss my old truck, but I love my Jeep!!

Since then our family has converted to an all Jeep family! My son has a 2002 Jeep Liberty Sport and we just bought my wife a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit edition with the diesel engine.

I will have to get some of my photos to post later. I have only added the step sides to help my wife get in the Jeep and WeatherTech floor mats which fit okay, but when I bought them last fall no one had anything out for the 2014 JKU yet.

I use my Jeep to get to and from the bus stop 4 days a week @ 6 miles each way and sometimes to drive out to work @ 54 miles each way, other than that I use it to run errands around town and plan on getting some more off road time in. Last weekend I took it up in the mountains to play and loved the mud but the snow was still too deep in some areas so I ended up high centered one time, that is enough for me to realize I need to get a lift and bigger tires under this beast!

I love going completely Topless or having the Jeep Naked as I have seen it termed on the forum! It is an amazing feeling especially now that the weather is cooperating around here.

I am getting a quote to install the following mods:
·Rugged Ridge base bumper with stubby ends and a Double X Striker Guard (OM 11542.02KIT-A)
·Warn® 9.5cti Contactor Equipped Winch with 100' Spydura™ Synthetic Rope and Hawse Fairlead

and I am debating the following:
Which rear bumper/tire carrier to go with
·Smittybilt® Rear XRC Bumper with 2" Receiver Hitch with the OR-Fab™ Swing-A-Way Tire with RotopaX™ Container Carrier
·Smittybilt® XRC Rear Bumper with 2" Receiver Hitch & Tire Carrier Textured Black

The lift kits I have found which are supposed to be good and will work with 35” tires are:
·Rock Krawler JK 3.5" Flex System
·Rock Krawler JK 3.5 X Factor Long Arm System

If anyone has comments or suggestions about any of the mods I have listed please let me know!

Sorry to ramble on, but I wanted to get as much into this as I could and I am sure there will be many more posts with added information and photos coming soon!

Because this is the newbie check-in area, you may not get the answers you are looking for. I suggest you check out this forum area and post your questions there, I think you'll get a better response.
