Noob in Ohio

Have wanted a jeep for years finally got the opportunity. Believe I found a decent deal, 2008 Sahara 2dr 54k miles under $20 appears to be well maintained and cared for. of course having never driven a solid front and rear I am probably way over analyzing all the creaks and groans and pops. Have no idea if they are normal, normal for miles/age, something to be concerned about or just my mind screwing with me lol

A couple of initial questions - assuming proper oil and maintenance care what kind of miles can one expect from her?

Are there any things I should be keeping an eye out for at this many miles? Any dont blow this off advice when it comes to scheduled maintenance outside of normal oil rotations.

Did the 2008's have any particular quirks I should be aware of?

Thanks in advance for answering all the really stupid questions I know I am going to ask.

I hope to have a very long and fulfilling relationship with my new square bodied mistress, I want to make sure I treat her right and care for her well.

Lastly anything that the jeep community generally agrees on that I should absolutely avoid? Products or manufacturers that are sub par etc etc.?

Welcome to the Forum! Lots of great people and ideas here! And don't forget the Wave!

Having had a 2008, keep an eye on the oil. My JKU with the 3.8 drank a quart every 3000 miles.
