Old Fart from Texas

This is my first time on a forum so if I step on any toes please straighten me out. I had a '90 YJ for a short while until it was murdered by a japanese sedan 2 days before last Christmas. I finally settled with the insurance company and am looking to get another possibly a TJ not sure I like the looks of the JK. Also I need a little input about the V6 are there any problems with it does it preform as well as the I6?

Welcome to the forum. Can't tell you much about the v-6, I have the I-6 in my TJ and in my BMW. I quess I like to keep my cylinders in a row.

welcome to the forum. i prefer the I6 over the V6 myself, buy yhe are both strong engines. the chrysler V6 has been around for many years, this is just the first time it is being used in a jeep. the only complaints i have heard about the V6 is that it is underpowered for the size and weight of the jk, particularly the 4 door.

Welcome-

If you want to get a 2dr--6spd stick, then the choice between the TJ/JK is dependant on your pocketbook and insurance/warrranty dedication--

The I6 is without a doubt--like the "IRONHORSE" of old and the new V6 3.8L is not new it's over 20 old (use)

If you want a 4dr, then then you'll get a little of the lower power in the V6, but still adequet, even for towing

Test driveem-you gotta tryem out !!
