Old new guy

I'm sort of wiped out after procuring my first 2018 Jeep Wrangler Ultimate JK 2 hours ago. Wish it wasn't dark out now. I have a lot to learn.

Welcome!! In mid March 1998, I bought a brand new TJ 4.0 Sport. That night we got 20 inches of snow. I though "YEA" So I went out for a drive (50 year old kid at the time). Got to a corner and geared down the wrong way and lost control. I did 2 (Yes 2) 360 spins and right into the ditch. No one hurt. No other idiots on the road but myself. No cel phone. So, I though, lets see what this baby can do. And wouldn't you know it, I backed right out of the ditch. Drove home, and drove it with respect from that day on. What a great Jeep that was.. Thought I would share. Cheers Al from Vancouver Island

Good story! Glad everyone and the Jeep was ok. While out for a joy ride in my new jeep tonight my wife said "too bad you have to wait for 9 or 10 months to try it out in snow". i replied that I'm hoping that since I have this Jeep Wrangler it won't snow next winter!

Snow is some of the most fun you can have in a Wrangler! It's like mud but doesn't make a mess lol

April 2nd

So it's supposed to snow here in the Philadelphia tomorrow. I'm going to tell people that I impulse bought the Wrangler because of the forecast of snow.
Winter won't end here.

Lol, I've seen crazier things! I've seen people literally coin flip over if they should buy a vehicle!

So almost to the day, one year after I got my new 2018 JKU sport S I've had it back to the dealer 2xs so far for this issue of it randomly not starting. First time was at less than 2000 miles. A number of times until it happened with my wife in the vehicle with me late at night. The next day I took it to the dealer to get it fixed. That was in June. It's started right up every time since that initial fix which was some kind of transmission temperature sensor or something. I have the invoice out in the Wrangler.
Now it the last 8 days it stranded me at a bad time an hour away from home stuck at a turnpike rest area. It started after about a half an hour. I took it to the dealer's service department directly after picking up my son and his wife and my 2 toddler grand children at the Newark Airport- LATE- after their non stop flight from Japan- dropping them off at home, then the dealer. After having it for 2 days- it started every time and there's nothing to fix. I have that invoice out in the Wrangler. Today it wouldn't start again. I can't say that after 1 year with this Wrangler I'm a happy Wrangler owner! I really don't know what to do with it, or do next.

I've been in touch with Jeep Cares and have a case number.
It's back in the dealer now.
Haven't heard from Jeep Cares. I was told it'd take a couple of days.
Waiting.......
This has to be fixed. I've had it in 3 times already and I can't deal with going through this any more. A new vehicle should start every time. Pretty simple.
It has to be fixed or I'm done with this defective Wrangler one way or another.
Losing all my patience.
