Proud New Owner

This is my first time here. 2 weeks ago I bought my first Jeep Wrangler ever, yet I have wanted one for as long as I know! I am 38 years old, so I have been wanting and wishing for a while. I got a 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sport Unlimited 4 door and I am loving it so far. I did also get a Custom Shifter Knob to go on the stick shift. Does anyone know how to remove the knob so I can put this new one on? Do I just need to crank hard to the left? I heard there might be some lock tite on it as well? Any help would be appreciated. Also if anyone knows anything cool that I might want to know about Jeeps feel free to let me know! Thanks!

Welcome to the forum, from what I found online, it's not a threaded shifter it's a pull off. People say it's a two piece shifter, take a flathead screw driver to remove the bottom rubber potion, and slide down, then get a good grip on the upper portion of shifter with vise grips then use a mallet to hit upwards on the vise, to pop it off.
