Should have gotten a jeep ages ago (TX)

Greetings all from the desert! I've acquired a stock wrangler tj se and I'm loving it more and more every day. I also own a 2nd gen 4runner that broke the cherry for the love of 4 wheeling. But I much prefer my tj.

About the truck:
I got this wrangler in a trade for my limited edition miata a few months ago. The guy who owned it bought it off a friend of the family and they were the original owners. It has 117k on the clock and absolutely no rust. The only modifications it has it a touch screen stereo with navigation.

Plans for the truck:
I'm going for a overland theme on this wrangler since I'm daily driving it at the moment. Probably going to get a 2" ome lift and a set of Canyon wheels wrapped in a beefy 31x10.5 A/T tire with a locker up front. I hear good things about spartan lockers. And the usual light bar and other recovery gear and trailing armor. Might build a expedition trailer for added storage.

Pics of the jeep

I'm very interested in buying a set of tj Sahara or Canyon wheels! Please if you know anyone willing to sell and ship for a reasonable price let me know!

Welcome to the club. Enjoy the new Jeep. And if you are going to put one locker on your Jeep.....put it in the rear, not the front.

Thank you! If you don't mind me asking, why is that? Only because I was told the Dana 35 is garbage and lockers for the rear have a tendency to lock on their own and cause problems. A friend of mine gave me this advice and I wouldn't honestly know what's best or not. Your thoughts?

Great looking TJ! Funny you sold a Miata for it. I started by looking at the new Miata's and bought my JK instead!

Does your TJ have an LSD in the rear by any chance? In that case, I would run the locker up front and leave the LSD on the rear.

Actually, I straight traded for this wrangler. I love those new miata's. But I can't afford them unfortunately. Thank you! I've been told it's in excellent shape and I plan on keeping it looking great

I'm not even sure honestly. Other than getting the wheels loose, is there a way to check?

Have your VIN handy and visit this website to get your Jeep's build sheet:

https://jeep.custhelp.com/app/jeep/e...WGxOMmc2T2w%3D

It should work for any Jeep that is a '98 or later. If she still has her originial axles, the build sheet should tell you whether, or not, you have an LSD. Let me know what you find out.
