Spare Lock, which is best?

Hi, I just ordered a 2012 Sahara Unlimited, and cant wait to get it. I was thinking of getting a spare cover, but since most are cloth I would think they wouldnt look so great after a while. The dealer is going to put a vinyl looking one on, but it looks like water would get in from behind and make a mess. So instead of using a cover and maybe a cable lock, I want to get a lug nut type lock. After checking a lot of them out, I want to know which one is the best? The sets of locks seem to be the type to use and the price for a set is not so expensive even with just using one for the spare. Thanks for any help!

Welcome to the Forum

Locks aren't going to be much of a deterrent for thieves but I put them on mine anyway.
I just picked up a set from my local tire retailer.

Welcome. We just put on standard wheel locks. They deter the honest folks.

If adequately motivated, and they Really really want it....they are gonna get it even if it requires a cutting torch.

These merely keep honest folks honest.

The idea isnt to build a fortress...but to make yourself more of a pain in the arse to steel from than the other guy.

Sh_t-bags are inherently lazy. They prefer the path of least resistance...otherwise they would have a job.

If you have duct tape on your wheels...and the other guy has non...statistical odds are that the take the one that requires less time...less noise...less effort...less noise.

Besides....all I really want to do is slow them down long enough to be able to maneuver into a position where my round wont go into my Jeep when it penetrates through them.
