Talking Texas Jeep noob

Hey guys,
I've dreamed of jeeps since I first saw them in a 4-wheeling magazine when I was about 7 or 8. Now, 10 years later after saving every penny to my name I have the chance to buy one as a grad present as I go off to Texas A&M. The first problem I had was deciding between 2 and 4 door.. My parents eventually convinced me the 4-door was safer (not sure either of them are very safe - but hey I'm not telling them that!). The next difficult part was choosing the trim. The only requirements my parents have is that it be an automatic and hardtop.. Everything else is up to me. Now I had the budget for a JKU Sport S, until my Dad ran into a gentleman at a gas station who said he got his at $5,000 under invoice because he bought a 2012 a few weeks after the 2013's roll out... This put the idea in my head I could have a 2013 Rubicon. But I guess I don't know quite enough about them all to know what's best. What trim would be the best? My usage would be about 60-70% highway, 10-20% city, and 10-20% offroading/camping/recreational uses. Seeing as this is where the experts are I figured y'all could help me. Final pricetag of the car needs to be less than $34k. Thanks for any and all info!

Check out the JK thread and look for the 2013 pricing discussion. You really wont find a much better deal on a 13 as opposed to a 14. Also check the Jeep.com site and they will show you who still has the 2013 Rubi on their lot.
If you are from the East Texas area check out etxjc.org, the pres is an Aggie!
Welcome to the Jeep life, and congrats on becoming a Fighting Texas Aggie!!!
