Tired of lurking..

Hello! My name is HighwayTrout but my friends call me HT.
lol

Anyway I finally decided to sign up. Been visiting this forum for years now. A little background about myself I guess....
Grew up around hot rods and had a wrench in my hand from very early on. Got into Jeeps more recently about 6 years ago and picked up a '68 Commando. Sold that to a friend of mine and drove around a 89 YJ for a bit. Got tired of that and ordered a '12 JKUR July of 2011 in the elusive Sahara Tan color. It was everything I was looking for in a Jeep. Right until it started TICKING!

Unfortunately after a head replacement and a slew of other problems I finally pursued with the Ca Lemon Law and Chrysler bought the heep back. Fast forward to today I am Jeepless but not for long! I have a '13 JKU '10a on order. Triple Anvil with red, dual tops, fully loaded with auto and 4.10's. I am hoping to pick up where I left off with my '12 Rubi. Although I most likely will wait a bit before installing a AEV lift/wheels and snorkel. (no sense on having to remove it all if it ends up being a dud)

Anyway. Thats about it.
HighwayTrout singing out!

Thanks guys for the warm welcome!

Ltblue the motor started to tick at about 8K miles. The leaky top, AC compressor screeching, rattle box of a transmission started well before the engine problems. It was just one of those horror stories you hear about with a brand new vehicle. The dang thing was just falling apart. And I don't subscribe to the "its a jeep thing" when it cost 40+ grand. Luckily I got out of it even though it meant I was not ever going to have my ideal wrangler.

Thx for the reply, the reason why i asked was because I also have a Sahara Tan, but mine has not tick..yet. It is only at 5700+ miles so far so i will keep a close eye on mine. Anyways have fun with the new 10A!
