Trouble with clutch

I'm getting a noise coming from the clutch everytime i press it in with the engine running, it makes the noise no matter how much or little i press the clutch in, but when i am in neutral or rolling in gear with the clutch out the noise stops. the performance isnt any different. i just cant figure the noise out and i dont want to aimlessly drop the transmission without having a better idea of what it may be. if you know or have any idea what i am talking about please help. thanks

i have a 2000 wrangler with the opposite, its a slite noise when the clutch is in neutral it goes away when engaged. driving remains the same, so i try not to worry about it to much. check your fluid to see if there is any contaminants.

I have a 1989 wrangler Sahara and within the last 1500 miles I had a whole clutch kit installed, and recently every time I push the clutch in it lets off a terrible squealing noise and is very hard to shift. Ive been told its maybe the throw out bearing but like i said i just had it replaced. If anyone knows what this is and could let me know I would appreciate it.

Thanks everyone for the welcome. I had suspected the throwout bearing, based on the noise itself. i guess ill start there. thanks for the help.
