Dv8 Offroad's Stage 1 long arm kit was designed to flex easily and provide a great ride on the road. Placing longer control arms under your rig helps to reduce the operating angles of the control arms once the rig is lifted. Longer control arms will also help smooth out the ride, increase travel potential, and reduce stress on the vehicle and its suspension components.

Radius Control Arms & Lengths:
Radius arms are a simple and effective way to control the front axle. Upgrading to a longer radius arm allows the suspension to articulate more freely. Essentially the farther you space the arm's mounting point on the frame from the axle, the less dramatic the bushing bind will be as the suspension cycles.
When determining control arm lengths you must factor in axle sweep, pinion angle, and roll center. The mounting locations of the arms and the correlation between the upper and lower arm lengths play a major role in how the suspension performs. For example, if the upper control arms are drastically shorter than the lower ones, the axle may steer during articulation and could allow for extreme pinion angle changes that may result in drivetrain damage.
DV8 TOOK ALL THESE FACTORS INTO ACCOUNT AND THE RESULT IS THE BEST RIDING LONG ARM KIT ON THE MARKET
In the front they provide a replacement crossmember which moves the control arms up and out of the way for superior clearance and better control arm angles for even less binding.
In the Rear they decided to go with a mid length control arm. This benefits performance in three ways. First you gain extra clearance over a long arm rear setup, second it keeps the kit fully bolt on, and third it still allows you to gain proper caster angles on your rear axle. If you plan on driving hard and fast across the desert we recommend upgrading to our long arm rear setup. But for those who enjoy crawling, this is the perfect solution as it provides the same amount of articulation and downtravel while still maintaining excellent clearance and no binding thanks to their high quality 1.25" heim joints and high quality bushings.

Simply put the thing that makes their monotube shocks stand out from the crowd is their size. Having a thicker body allows them to put more fluid into the shock, which in turn, results in better performance and longer life.
-Another thing that makes their shocks better, is that, it contains an internal bump stop. At full flex the seals of the shock are not being damaged.
