Yeah.. notice it has a NV241 transfer case. I read people were wanting this in the JT, along with a rear locker...

Ask and you shall receive with the Mojave "Desert Rated" package.

This is a good move: Jeep needed to expand beyond rock crawling and compete with Ford Raptor.

Wrangler makes a better trail vehicle; this desert runner looks like a good flagship model for Gladiator.

PS - that hood works very well with JL/JT's front end.
Pressurized and DIRT BOY like this.

I read it will be priced higher than the Rubicon version which surprised me.

I really never had much of a interest in the Gladiator, but this one has caught my eye. It maybe time to trade, we shall see when it is released. The towing package is a must, comes with the 800 amp engine cooling fan.

When they first released the Gladiator at they advertised the "Offroad Plus Mode" that allowed the Rubicon's rear axle to be locked in 4Hi. Was that never implemented in the production Rubicons?

must not have been because Jeeps ad says this is unique to the Mojave.

It has 1" lift in the front ...

Quote:
The front suspension is lifted an inch for added jounce travel on the heavy end of the truck, making it about half an inch higher overall than a Gladiator Rubicon. The rear isn't raised, and overall ground clearance is quoted as 11.6 inches.

Check out where the hood latch is in relation to the top of the front fender. The bottom of the hood latch is below the top of the fender.

Don't know.. compare to a Rubicon, the fender line looks about the same.

Could be an optical illusion.

The Mojave hood appears taller toward the front due to the scoop...

I’ve been hankering for a Gladiator lately. This is pretty awesome. Shouldn’t a desert-rated vehicle have a flag on a pole or is that just for dunes?

Primarily for dunes ...

The purpose of a flag on a whip is the ability for others to see YOU down in sand bowls and cresting razorbacks.

Pretty Cool and decent upgrades over a Rubicon but for the money they are charging you could get more with a raptor at equal or slightly less $ unless you are looking for the slightly smaller size. Just a thought.

This is sweet and would love one. One issue. ENGINE! Raptor still kills it here and similar price.
Wait until a Ranger raptor too.

I love raptors but the Mojave is supposed to be priced like the Rubicon and you can get into a Rubicon JT for under $50K and now have seen them down under $45K so no reason to believe the same thing for the Mojave. I have never found a Raptor that was close to that price. and as you say the smaller size coupled with the greater payload will make the Mojave more appealing to me as an offroad/overland vehicle. I walk by two new Raptors every day and dang they look good.

I agree. This one got my attention.

One of my disappointments when JL/JT first launched is that it was too much of the same. This erases all that.

It is nice to see a package with teeth! Real changes.

In my F150 and Tacoma I was pretty happy with a rear locker. For most of my wheeling in Colorado I rarely disconnected the front sway bar. The Rock-trac is awesome when doing technical work, but frankly I never really felt like I needed it until I had it.

With my style of wheeling, the Mojave might get me to fit check some kids into a Gladiator. Wonder if it will come in white?

Everyone has been mentioning the performance changes but one thing I like is that hood. It sure does look purty.
