I know its a bit off topic, but do they offer that Bison thing in a manual option? I prefer my manuals, but again I may be a bit odd.....

If true, I am even more happy about my Raptor order. 56k starting, once you start adding stuff you will easily hit 65k possibly 70k. That is way too much for a mid-sized truck IMO. Considering a Chevy Colorado ZR2 with the diesel and the Bison package can be had for about 53K, and the Taco TRD Pro is about 50K. My ordered Raptor with an 801(a) package, Torsen front end, spray in bedliner, and remote starter came in under 60k.

I hope they do not start at $56k, but probably right.

Great price for a 2019, gen5. I couldn't stop the splurge on all the extra tech in the 802a. No matter what I'm sure your gonna love the ride.

Do they have any on the lots yet to test drive? I'm scared of ordering without checking it out in person first

They won't have them for many months. Maybe even into this fall. I don't remember anything about when they would be available but they will be 2020 models.

And honestly, the way the quality goes with Jeep under the FCA umbrella, I'd wait for the second model year to let them work the bugs out.

Based on their past record, I don’t think that’s nearly enough years for the bugs to get worked out.

Jeep has a long, long history of "bugs"...why would they start working them out, now?

Per the comment above, talked to several dealerships this week, and those that were able to answer said Launch editions would arrive in June, the rest not until fall.

Which is a bummer for me, as I have a Tacoma lease expiring in June and had hoped to move over to a Gladiator. Can't go without a car from June to some indeterminate date in the fall personally, but for those that can wait that's apparently the delivery timeframe.

Or buy a beater to use for a few months and then sell it. Where there’s a will there’s a way.

Go to Enterprise and get a quote on a six month rate... I did it before I bought my 2009 Grand Cherokee SRT8.

It was no more than having a typical car payment...

I rented a new Mustang GT and raced around town for nine months.

Quick update in case anyone's in the same boat: it looks like at least in Maine, Enterprise isn't cost competitive. Cheapest option they have for June through October is $1090/mo.

Wow... I was paying ~$550 per month for a brand new Mustang.

EDIT: I also wrote that off as a loss on my taxes.. I had to rent when Toyota bought back my Land Cruiser.
