LED Lights as a Factory option vs Aftermarket

I tried searching to see if this topic was in the JL section so forgive me if this is a repost.

First off, I do really like the quality of my Mopar LED lights. I got the $950 factory option and for that much $ I think they were an excellent buy. I would say just as bright if not brighter than the JW Speaker Lights I had on my JKU

I decided to do a quick aftermarket search and those same Mopar lights (headlights, tail lights (JLs couldn't find gladiator), turn signals) total roughly $1800 when not factory installed. Plus you have to do the work installing them. Seriously Mopar? They are good lights but not almost 2K good lights.

I would 100% recommend if you do not have your eye on an aftermarket light get the LED Package. Thoughts?

I don't have the Mopar ones, but I've seen pics and videos of the light output and beam patterns and I actually prefer halogens with aftermarket LED bulbs. You actually get more light output with the same razor sharp beam and you have options this way for hundreds less money.

The only reason I would have even considered the factory option if I'd had the choice is because ALL of the other lights are also LED.

But, there isn't a factory LED light package on the market that can hold a candle to my Supernova V.4 fogs and heads, no pun intended.

That is interesting. I saw something on the KC lights about reflecting the LED light vs the direct projection.

Im baffled Jeep thinks they can after market sell the lights for 2x the price of factory install.

I like mopar and LEDs too. There are many to choose from but $950 sounds insane price wise. Its all Made in China probably.

The only side by side light comparison I have seen on YouTube is this video which breaks it down:

My actual number 1 is Xenon because it kind of sits in between LED and Halogen lights.

I dont think the lights in your video are the mopar ones. They look similar but I think they are knockoffs
