So yesterday actually went and looked at 2 JT's, both Rubicons one Launch edition that was $62K and a rubicon that had Auto, cold weather and tow package as bout the only option $49K. The Launch edition was loaded to the gills and i have to say it was as nice as nice could be. I was surprised at the Rubicon for $49K as it was darn nice too. MSRP on it was less than my Recon was so seems like a steal to me.

Hmmmm $49k.... Maybe a get at $45k (ish) that is waaaaay better than a NASA version at almost $20k more.

Crazy how much bells (and whistles) can cost these days.

It's like I always say, never buy a vehicle on it's first year.












And never buy a FIAT. :P But seriously, if you want one, just wait. Let Jeep figure out the kinks and get one year two or three. Lord knows they'll likely be around for at least 10 years, so you have time. I stupidly didn't do this with my Tacoma, and had NOTHING but issues. Everything in the world week after week went wrong with that stupid truck. Felt like I was doing Toyota a good QC check every day.

i See it’s a driveshaft problem or recall . Well somebody has to buy them or there would never be a second year

The stop sale and recall was only on certain models built through June 25...about 3500 vehicles total. I ordered on April 27 but my order was delayed because of the steel bumper shortage. It was 103 days from order to delivery. The delay had a silver lining. Mine was not built until July 14 and is not subject to the recall.

MSRP on mine was just over $54K...configured exactly as I wanted it. Thankfully, I paid less than invoice through the dealer in Cortez, CO..
