My next Jeep will be a JT, probably a stripper base.

I was at the dealer yesterday getting the SS swapped. Walking around... They have a JT Rubicon MSRP $64,000. That may have a chilling effect on many.
There was a Dodge 3500 Cummins Diesel Dually about 40' away for $68k.

My JT Rubicon was $50,270. If I had ordered one it would have been about $49,000 in Punk'n with just the body color fenders and black hardtop but I didn't feel like possibly waiting around for 3 months so I settled on the one I got. I think too many people see the super expensive ones and think they're all like that. I got mine for about $47,600. Did anyone see the commercials for the 2019 GMC Sierra with the multipro tailgate? Only available on 3 trims, the 'cheapest' is the SLT for $44000 if you get no other options. Pretty cool tailgate though.

That would be a great combo.
I don't think anyone was saying it with glee they were not selling and we just happen to notice there sure don't seem to be many on the road. It's called an accurate observation.

'Forgive me, almighty Jeep gods, I have been led astray! Long live the mighty Gladiator!'

There's a long history of people buying a truck then trading it in for a Wrangler and vice versa. I know several people who have had a Wrangler for years then one day it's 'I need a truck' and trade in the Wrangler and now they have a truck! But they miss the Wrangler. They miss the soft top or removing the freedom tops. Some traded their trucks in to be in a Wrangler again, and now some are trading in their Wranglers to have a Gladiator. To some it's like the kiss of death trading in the heralded Wrangler for a truck! Hahaha.

Then of course there's the others who only wanted a 2-door Jeep truck and are pissed because there isn't one available.
I'm sure there are some wrangler snobs, but I'm not one of them. I would love for the JT to sell, it just seems where I live I don't see many, but it's possible they are all in another part of the city....But I do get to a many sides of the city and just don't see many. I would love to have one and I'm happy everyone loves theirs. It's hard to justify that much when I have a 2015 JKUR with less than 25K miles on it. Enjoy your "truck"

I just build one Sport with some options the way I would buy it on jeep.com and is right under 39K -it is comparable price-wise with SR5 4x4 Taco. Though its offroad capabilities are closer to TRD Pro.
Nissan Pro 4x is around 34-36K but is an inferior older model.
Comparing only with top of the line Rubicons is not fair there are no competitors in this specific segment.

It's an observation, does not make it accurate. It would be accurate if you could spy with your little eye and x-ray vision all the JT's in a 50 mile area. But what if you only drive 4 miles to work and report, I have not seen any JT's on my drive to work.

Well agree to disagree on this.

Per a press release on the driveshaft recall, it sounds like they've only sold 8k of the JT Nationwide, so numerically speaking, no one is buying it. I expect it will increase. Fact is it's a niche vehicle and far from an entry level Wrangler for $28-30k

I love all trucks and Jeeps so I wish nothing but the best to it and potential buyers! But, for me I'll keep my JK 2 door and F350
