truck conversion kit?

The conversion doesn't seem so expensive anymore now that I've looked at going Jeep prices.

And it looks like it gives me exactly what I want, short wheelbase, 2 doors, and a well-proportioned bed, non-monster truck fits in the garage.

I can't totally tell from the Internet-- is it still being made? Just for JK? Is there a better forum I should ask on?

Do you think the Gladiator will flush a few conversion jobs out on the used market?

Thanks,

confundido

There was a Mopar one for the JKU also(I think the same as in your picture) but it went out of production a few years ago.

Yeah, that's why I was concerned about this one. I should probably grab one before the Gladiator takes them down too.

That said, I still need a place in Phoenix that can do the work. Anybody?

I messaged the Morris folks (above) and they said they didn't know of anyone in the Phoenix area and said they're in Florida. That's a bit of a drive...

And there's this little guy: https://gr8tops.com/shop/jeepmodels/...lf-hardtop-kit

I've pondered this for my '13 for something different....

That's awful darn cute. But I am not seeing the point. Doesn't look like you can carry any more than stock.

This looks like the DV8 one above. More pics. Says it's bolt on, so why not do it yourself? Best way to learn things is by doing JMHO.

I'd try myself but I was expecting some metal working (welding) and paint equipment would be needed.

This one just popped up on local craigslist but wow the price:

I, too, think the Mopar JK-8 Conversion kit is what is shown in the OP's picture.

The part number is (was?) 77070049. MSRP $5,499, not including installation.

Someone is still offering one, at Amazon, as https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Chrys.../dp/B00OBDJ9A4

Ugh.

This thread just brings back how much I wanted a JK-8.

And how Jeep lost its way with the Gladiator, at least from my point of view....
