I'd avoid the Water Wetter. Water wetter is best used with water only, in race car applications where freezing of the cooling system is not going to occur.
There is no benefit mixing it into a cooling system with the proper amount of distilled water to coolant.

I am however a fan of 5W30 synthetic oil in the 3.6L vs. 5W20. Opinions vary on both. Google Water Wetter for some interesting reading on the topic.

My manual and oil fill cap say 5 w 30 oil. It's a 2012. Don't know why they changed for later years.

On my last wheeling trip on the drive down I noticed the Jeep was going up into the low 230s and then cool down, but then back up again faster than it usually does. This was on a 4 hour drive on i75 KY and TN hills, On the trail never got over 220 and usually in the 210 range all day long, which we have established in 4Lo the fan is on a lot. There was one hill up to the camp site that was steep the temp got up into the high 238 ish range.. heart attack mode for me. the only change I had made was adding a small light bar just in front of the winch prior to leaving for the trip.

So I removed it and the temps went back to "normal".. the flat surface of the light bar lens was diverting just enough air to make the temps rise. So now I am looking at mounting the winch between the frame rails to see if that also provides a few degrees of additional temp drops. Thus look at what is sitting in front of the radiator, how might it affect air flow.

How fast were you going up the hill? If you were going slow, there wouldn't be much airflow to begin with. Take more data with the light bar removed and see if you hit 238 again. These things are kinda tricky and I often find myself caught in the confirmation bias trap.

This. You have to do a lot of consistent testing with stuff like this in order to get meaningful results.

Hill speed was 35mph... ran it after took the bar off and no issue.. Drive down 5 hours at 65-70mph.. was doing the run hotter thing.. drive back home no issues.. Sure lots of other factors could have played a part..but based on what I was seeing over 8-10 hours of driving on road and 4 days off road.. it was the light bar..

I had the same problem with my 2015 JKU. It only happened once...topped off my fluids and it never happened again. Hopefully it does the same for you!
