Exhaust headers glowing!!

So I changed my exhaust headers. When I put everything back I turned the jeep on and it now revs by itself and all the way up to 3000 rpm. And my the headers are glowing! Anyone have any ideas or had this problem before?

It sounds like you may have a vacuum leak.

I think you might have to have the Computer reset (???FLASHED???) If you had Cast Iron before and swapped to tube Headers....maybe the computer is goofed up.
The fact that the tubes are glowing red....Could be another problem, maybe your CAT converter is plugged, or your Muffler .
I had that problem on a S-10 (2.8L Goodwench) years ago, it would get hot in a hurry and eventually it would loose power and die. The headers were RED on it too...
It would fire right back up and might run for a week before it did it again....
Good luck... "BH"

Figured it out! The bottom f the intake manifold wasn't tight enough! It's so hard to get a wrench up in there but after a while of painstakingly turning each bolt a tiny bit at a time. Thanks for the help. Crazy how a tiny leak can cause this crazy red glow!
