06 Manual TJ Unlimited (LJ) - 190K Miles A+ mechanical RUST FREE Rebuilt Title
$7500 - Selling my 2006 Wrangler TJ Unlimited (better know as LJ) 1j4FA44S26P758975 completely RUST FREE! NOT a Rubicon. Asking $8500 O.B.O. PM me or text/voicemail at (248)six72-211two. Located in Pontiac, Michigan.
Short story: I bought this with a Salvage Title at an auction in Texas in 2015. It had 150,000 miles on it, a broken windshield and bent windshield frame. I repaired it, did all of the maintenance for 150,000 miles, Changed all the fluids brakes at Cetera, everything that needed to be done and plus some, and then got a “Salvage Rebuild Title”. Perhaps most importantly for the salty north, I coated the entire underbody, frame, and inside of frame with Eastwood Underbody primer and paint (this is the ONLY REASON it continues to be rust free in Michigan.
This LJ has been my daily driver and my only vehicle since, it now has 185,900+ miles. I am selling it because I am focusing my money into a business that I’m starting. I am allowing my cool factor to plummet and selling my Jeep. I thought I would keep it for 10+ years... Selling it did not occur to me till recently, and I probably would’ve spent less care on it if I had known and blah blah, I love my Jeep. I will especially miss the top down feel and the “Wrangler Wave”.
It’s an LJ - getting very rare.
IT HAS NO RUST and WILL NOT FOR MANY YEARS with regular washes in winter.
IT’s A 6 SPEED MANUAL!
Uncanny good mechanical condition and operation - I get comments from every shop I take it to. Runs great on and off the road.
Rear bumper with Hitch
Limited Slip Differential in rear Dana 44 axle
Clean black canvas interior
Stock height 31 in Goodyear Duratrac Wrangler tires.
Custom installed hidden Ignition killswitch for cool factor and theft protection.
A/C and Heat work great and always have, I’ve never recharged.
Pioneer Bluetooth audio receiver - Actually works the way you'd want it to.
Rear ring and pinion leak slowly, I’ve been checking and refilling when required with Gear Oil every 6,000 miles. (Just make sure to use the Limited Slip Differential variety)
The zipper for the rear window are challenging to close.
Windshield frame white paint doesn’t match up exactly.
Salvage Rebuild Title. This hurts resale value, a lot. I bought this car specifically because I saw it and ran it on the auction lot. I couldn’t believe it was a salvage title just for a broken windshield frame. I was concerned I’d discover more issues... but now I’ve driven it problem free over 35k miles for 4 years. I have pictures of original condition and the repairs I made.
If you aren’t into the colors of the underbody coating, or of it coming up the bottom edge of the vehicle, you probably think it’s ugly. I wasn’t planning on selling this so I went for the full Monty on what I like.
