I have a question/complaint.
I went to an offroad show. 4wd was there selling items. I tried to buy something they had on display, but they only had what was on display at the show, even though they were there selling stuff from a large simi trailer.
But they told me their store had the item I was after.
So I drive 40 miles to the store.
Nope,, the store didn't have it either. But,,, they would order it for me. So after spending $40.00 in gas to get there, I said,,No thanks.
I'll buy it elsewhere. And I did.
Six months later.
Back in the middle of august I saw an item on the web site for 4wd that I wanted, so I made an online order with 4wd, and after I made the online order 4wd charged my credit card. No big deal.
Everything went smoothly until I got the,,,, item on back order email.
So I called and was told it would only be a week. Ok, no big deal. Just a week.
However, just being curious, I checked with other venders for the same item. One said it took them 9 months to get the item the last time they tried to get them
So I waited on 4wd.
Two and a half weeks go by. Nothing, no email notice, phone call, no delivery, nothing...
I checked yesterday, (sep. 8)with a phone call to 4wd customer service. I was told that my order was still on back order, and at least several weeks or more away. So I cancelled my order.
So now I'm pissed off at 4wd. Again... Why was I charged for an item not in stock?
Why did it take a week or so to tell me the item was on back order and not available at the time the order was placed?
The lady on the phone said it would take three days to cancell my order. Three days!Why?
4wd didn't have the item when I placed the order. It did not say this on the web page when I placed the order.why?
Now 4wd has my money, and I have a credit card bill for something I won't be getting. Sure they will reimburse my credit card in a few days. So they say.
I'm so very pissed off with 4wd.
I may never attempt to do business with 4wd again.
