Hitting the trails on the cheap

I thought this was a great read. With all the aftermarket upgrades, we tend to lose sight of the fact that you don't need to spend a lot to hit the trails.

How My $600 Craigslist Jeep Outclassed Brand New Jeeps On The Trails Of Moab

I agree with the fact that a beater 4x4 is more fun because of the lack of investment having been made. I don't have to watch the video to know a 600 buck beater didn't outclass anything except maybe a 400 dollar beater.

The badge on the side says "Trail Rated". I wouldn't think anyone would have to spend anything extra to drive on a trial. Put 'er in 4H and hit the trail.

Besides, I've seen videos of a Crown Victoria on the trails of Moab. If a car can handle it I'm sure a stock Jeep can, too.
