Tow pig questions

Any ramp truck owners or advice giver's? This truck has air bags and a large sway bar. I am wanting to put a 5000-5500lb Jeep on her but don't know how safe it would be? Thank you for your help

As a retired truck driver, I wouldn't put 2 1/2 ton on that ramp truck. Center of gravity would be crazy high and load balance shifted to far to the rear. What does the maker of that ramp truck say is the load limit(GVWR + GAWR)?

I only know the total weight of the truck is around 9100lbs, the ramp is home made, you make a good point I'll have to look to see the weight, I've thought I've read that the payload was 3-5k? I appreciate your response as in I'm not wanting put my family at undue risk.

I know it's a homemade ramp with a wood deck. Thanks again for your help

I think you answered your own question about the max weight load. 3K is good but 5K is probably overloading that ramp truck. A stock JK weighs in a bit over 5K

“The maker of that ramp truck”
His name is Bubba, and unfortunately no one has seen him since 1996 when he said “hold my beer and wait till you see what I bring back for eats” he then ran into the Woods of West Virginia and has never been seen again.

yeah, probably good for hauling a totally stripped down dirt track car, but a plush jeep? hmmm no thanks.
