Avitar picture assistance needed

I am trying to upload my picture with my golden in the jeep, seems to have worked however no matter what I do it always seems to be rotated 90* am I possibly doing something wrong here? I have attached the picture in question, thanks for any assistance provided!

I'm not an expert here, but it something to do with the camera default view. I just flip them in paint or photoshop so the flip sticks.

wierd, always seems to happen with any picture I put up it seems, must be a fruit powered phone thing I guess...perhaps droid is the wey to go.....

You should try taking your photos with your phone held "landscape", with the volume buttons pointing towards the ground, and the "Home" button on the right. This is the technical "right-side-up" for camera phones

thanks will try that next time...I just find it strange that some photos have this randomness happen while others do not...

I flip them in paint or photoshop, might try either of those in the meantime.

Or use a hosting site like shutterfly or Nickpic.

I tried to flip it the opposite way to compensate to no avail, same with the hosting site.
