Embedded Youtube seems to break the page formatting

I'm on desktop chrome...

Threads with an embedded youtube video seem to break the page formatting for everything _following_ the youtube post.

Here's a good example: https://www.wranglerforum.com/f202/35...l#post31599209

Note specifically entries #3, #4, #5

I think the issue is with subsequent replies that quote a previous post that contained an embedded youtube video.

Edit: Seems to work okay here. Strange, have you noticed any other threads doing this?

How do you embed youtube videos in the first place? Are we using the HTML iframe, or the square bracket BB code, or from the attachments page, or something else?

Remove the "s" from https and it will format correctly.

Edit: Wow, that is NOT what the preview looks like.

Fixed up your youtube links, and the ones in that other thread.

With the ones in the other thread, I'm still a little unsure exactly how it happened, but the different BBcodes in the Quote and the youtube link were conflicting with each other. Might have started with the initial embedding of the video glitching, but it's hard to know. If we get this happening again, then we can look deeper.

With yours, it seems when you added the video, it was attached to the specific word "this", which made things go screwy again.

To answer your previous question, we use BBcode exclusively on the site. HTML code can be exploited too easily as a security risk, so we don't enable it on the forum

FWIW, I've noticed this too.

Example here, after the quoting of the video:

Hello there,

Yes exactly what Kevin said, HTML option is turned off on this forum because of certain reasons. Is anyone still having troubles doing this? If so, some more screenshots and the specifics of how people are doing would be great.

Best regards,

Edward

My example above used BBCode. No HTML.

It looks like the "S" in HTTPS is screwing up the table formatting and breaks out of the html

Hey there,

Https is not installed on the site. If users put https:// the site will not load.
We're on the works on implementing this but there is no ETA on when it will come.
We have some test sites right now and we're minimizing the bugs and preventing breaking functions.

Ed
