500 is a server-side error. They must be having issues and you just got unlucky. Do not play the lottery today.

Try making a thread but using the title as just a single letter. Change it once its posted.

What thread title were you using?

it's not always special characters but they do influence it. we are having a bit of trouble with starting new threads in certain sections I believe.

I have been getting this error all week and have been unable to post a thread. I tried mobile, desktop, different browsers, just posting one letter in the thread then going back to edit, all with no luck.

This page isn’t working www.wranglerforum.com is currently unable to handle this request.

Hello there,

We're tracking a memory overload issue on the new servers. Basically, terms that are used a lot on the site are causing a memory overload when you try and add to it by creating a thread or editing a thread title to include the term. The temporary fix is to put one character in the title and edit it after it is posted. Good news is that we have a fix ready to go and I'll request its added now.

Hello all,

We have pinpointed the issue to the slowness.
Once the patch is done, the techs will deploy the fix.
I do not have an ETA on this, but once I get an update, we'll give you a heads up here.
